APRIL
Emphasize: Spring Outreach

•	April is Child Abuse Prevention Month

•	Finalize plans for Mother's Day event (i.e. Mother-Daughter Tea)
•	Work with Men's Ministries to plan a Father's Day event
10	Local 1st quarter WM & GM reports due to conference WM/GM treasuries
20	Conference 1st quarter WM & GM reports due to general offices in OKC

2008 Special Events Calendar–National and Conference
April	Child Abuse Prevention Month	This is the perfect time to make sure your local church has policies in place to prevent child abuse from occurring in the local church. It's also a good time to provide resources on how to recognize signs of abuse. Chapter 6 of the Missionettes Leader Training Guide is dedicated to the basic guidelines for protecting children. May 11	Mother's Day	Plan a Mother-Daughter Banquet or a Spring Tea; invite single mothers from the neighborhood and pamper them with special treats.
