Feast of Ingathering

The idea of the Feast of Ingathering was developed by Addie Scott Muse, the second general president of the Woman's Auxiliary (now Women's Ministries). Held in the autumn, this is a special time for each of our denominational colleges to receive financial support, raised by IPHC women throughout the preceding year.

Local women's groups will often spend weeks or months raising the funds for this special emphasis. The funds are brought to the various institutions on a special day of "ingathering" which includes a program and a meal provided by the institution. In support of our unified education program, we encourage support of all our denominational colleges by all conferences rather than just by region.

These IPHC colleges and universities are providing quality education in a Christian environment. With the skyrocketing costs of a college education, these funds can allow the schools to make special purchases that they might not otherwise be able to fund or to provide ongoing scholarships to students. Each school makes the decision on how to best use the funds from its "Feast" offering.
