My Feast of Ingathering Offering Does What?

As you prepare to give to the 2007 Feast of Ingathering offerings at our various colleges, we thought you might want to know how some of your 2006 giving was used. Read the information below to learn more.

Emmanuel College

Willie Chalker was one of the recipients of the scholarships that are funded at Emmanuel through the annual Feast of Ingathering offering. Jewelle Stewart received this letter of thanks in the Women's Ministries office and wanted to share it with those of you who give faithfully to this offering.

Mrs. Stewart,

I know many times in our world we are not nearly as full of gratitude as we should be. I know that I have been guilty of this myself, and for that I apologize. Again, may I say thank you.

I am one of the many people who have benefited directly from your long, tireless hours. I want to thank you, your staff, and every woman in our denomination who has made it possible for people like me. I am a first generation PH member and college student.

Four years ago I owed over $5,000. Since I am a student paying for college on my own, I am truly grateful for your part in allowing me to fulfill the purpose of God for my life. You have been a real blessing, and you are actively taking part in any ministry that God may be leading me into. I graduate this May [2007] and
all you ladies are responsible. Again, thank you. You have truly fulfilled all I learned from Matthew 25 and James 2.

Love in Christ,
Willie Chalker; Senior, Emmanuel College School of Christian Ministries

Southwestern Christian University

Each year, the Feast offering for SCU is used for one or more projects to enhance the campus, life for the students, and other worthy ventures. A state of the art sign now graces the front of the campus on Northwest 39th Street in Bethany. It makes a powerful statement about the presence of this institution and keeps the community informed about events and opportunities.

The 2006 Feast of Ingathering offering and other individual donations made this sign more than just a dream for the SCU administation. SCU says "thank you" to Women's Ministries across the denomination for giving to this worthy cause.

The goal for the 2007 Feast of Ingathering offering at SCU is $60,000 and will be used to fund the following projects:

New Mini-van ($20,000)
New Student Fitness Center ($20,000)
Entry Way Curb Appeal Update ($10,000)
New Walk-in Cooler in the Kitchen ($10,000)
