Pastor Appreciation Day Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, Clergy Appreciation Month is a special time that congregations set aside each year to honor their pastors and pastoral families for the hard work, sacrificial dedication and multiple blessings provided by these special people. It is typically scheduled in October, but can be held at any time that is convenient for the church and the community. It is also important to remember that appreciation, affirmation and prayer support of our spiritual leaders is appropriate throughout the entire year. Pastor Appreciation Day is the day that is set aside to honor your pastor. These celebrations typically take place during a Sunday service. In observance of Pastor Appreciation Day on October 4, 2009, Women’s Ministries and Men’s Ministries are partnering to provide resources to assist the local church in honoring your pastor. Please make Pastor Appreciation Day a high priority in 2009. If we can assist you in any way, do not hesitate to contact the offices of Women’s Ministries and Men’s Ministries. “Let the elders who rule well be counted worthy of double honor, especially those who labor in truth and doctrine.” (1 Timothy 5:17) “Do not withhold good from those to whom it is due, when it is the power of your hand to do so.” (Proverbs 3:27) In honor of our pastors, Bill C. Terry Jewelle E. Stewart
