Women's Ministries Day

Women's Ministries Day is observed each year on the second Sunday of March. Originally known as Founder's Day, it is in honor of Lila Berry, the founder and first general president of the women’s organization in the International Pentecostal Holiness Church.

A special program, focusing on women in ministry, is written each year and provided for use in a special church service. This program and other special items are offered on the WM download page to assist you in planning and implementing this special day in the local church.

Local churches are encouraged to receive an offering to help General Women’s Ministries. This offering should be sent through the conference WM treasury at the end of the first quarter (or as soon after you observe WM Day as possible).

Click here or on the link in the right column to download the files and information for the 2008 WM Day program (see theme info below). New files are being added periodically during February, so click here to make sure you've downloaded all the available files.

One of the first steps to preparing for Women's Ministries Day is to coordinate the date with your pastor. Determine your plan of action by reviewing the program materials through the link to the right. This year's theme, "Destiny Awaits," can be developed by using the program and promotional ideas provided through the links on this page. The WM Day offering is one of the only ways the general WM is able to generate funds, and, the funds are crucial for providing ongoing ministry. Our goal for the 2008 WM Day offering is $15,000, and I believe it is an attainable goal if EVERY church will participate in the offering.Thank you in advance for participating and making this a great day and helping us reach the destiny that awaits IPHC Women's Ministries!
